    Hi Cathy,
Your book looks fantastic! I take tons of natural supplements. I do believe they contribute to my emotional well being. I’m usually pretty upbeat. My favorite natural high is to walk briskly for at least 45 minutes. Cathy, please feel free to promote your book on my FB fan page for Powered by Intuition.
    Happy New Year to you!
    Angela

    1. Hi Angela,

Walking is perfect and works for me as well. I sometimes do my best thinking when I am walking, but it also gives the exercise and movement that we need to be healthy. It’s wonderful when we find the exercise of our choice and a few other things that we can get excited about. Life can be so fun when we dive in and find the goodness. Thanks so much for your offer. I will take you up on that!!

  2. Congratulations on your eBook! That’s wonderful!! I can think of several people who would love to have this book. For me, taking a walk in the fresh winter air really helps give me energy. Also, curling up with a good book. I don’t do enough of both of these activities.

    1. Hi Betsy,

Both of those sound so inviting. Finding things to replace our bad habits helps us continue on a positive path. Walking is a wonderful way to clear your head. Ideas pop into my head as I’m walking because I’m away from all the distractions. Reading is always a pleasure.

  3. Hi Cathy, Congrats on your ebook! Exciting to see it available now. I know it will be so helpful to people in so many ways–have fun, develop new skills, enjoy life, get in shape, expand minds or hearts, find meaning or passion…plenty to choose from and lots of information for learning more.

    It’s definitely an inspiration!

    1. Hi Leah,

Thanks so much for your comment and thank you for all your help along the way. You are an invaluable resource for anyone that needs editing and/or an ebook formatted. Appreciate all your help!

  4. Cathy, I’m sure others have told you this, but I find great value in your blog even though I don’t struggle with classic addition issues. I certainly have behaviors and habits that I need to break free from. I wonder if all of us are not at some level “recovering.” I am not at all trying to belittle or minimize the reality of more traditional addition/recovery expriences. I guess what I’m trying to say is that there is a lesson here for everyone. We are none of us that different from one another. The principles of recovery hold universal wisdom, and we can all join together in benefitting from them.

    1. Ha–I just reread my comment and your response. I was writing in a hurry, and wrote that I don’t have classic “addition” issues. Well, that’s not true, since I have a horrible time with addition! As for “addiction” issues, as you say, we are all recovering from something. I’m a recovering misspeller, apparently.

      1. Hi Galen,

No worries! Since that is a word that I use often in this niche, I find myself leaving out that little “c” on occasion too. I usually correct things, like that, but missed it as well. As you said, we all are recovering from something .

    2. Hi Galen,

Thanks for your kind words. You couldn’t have said it better. We are all recovering from something. I have learned so often that recovery principles apply to everyday life. It’s just good practice. Some, who are addicted to very destructive drugs need professional help to break free of their addiction in many cases. But for me, one of the biggest lessons has been to let others live their lives, especially my kids and let go trying to guide them now that they are adults. It’s difficult for many parents, but I do believe it’s a gift we give our children whether they are in recovery or not. Thanks so much for stopping by.

  5. That’s a fabulous topic Cathy! Great job and I have no doubt it’s just chalked full of wonderful and helpful tips. Wow! Congratulations and I wish you all the best with your first product.

    1. Hi Adrienne,

Thanks so much! It has been a fun project and always a good learning experience when you try something for the first time.

  6. This actually sounds like a REALLY great resource for recovering addicts. Sometimes we forget just how much pleasure and ecstasy is out in the real world, and we don’t need drugs to feel amazing. My friend was recently telling me about “hot yoga” and she said it was one of the most euphoric experiences she ever had.

    1. Hi Steven,

I think when we are caught up in our bad habit or addiction, we let go of those things that bring us pleasure. I love yoga as well and feel that it is one of the things that has changed my life. I know a lot of people who love the Bikram yoga, but I haven’t tried it so far. Maybe one of these days. Thanks for your comment. I wrote the book with the idea that it would be a resource for those in recovery from any addiction.

  7. Hi Cathy,

Congratulations on your book. I’m sure it will help many people who have issues with drugs. Let us focus on our health instead of living life filled with addiction. Thanks for sharing Cathy

    1. Hi Dia,

Thanks so much. I hope my book will inspire people to get out and find something they love to do. Spending our life being locked into an addiction is not productive, and worrying about someone else’s addiction on a long term basis is not a good use of anyone’s time either. Replacing the addiction with something positive is an important component of long term recovery.

  8. This is wonderful, Cathy. Your book is going to be a great help to millions of people and help them live a happy, healthy life!

My natural high comes from moments with my family – and especially with my son. He never ceases to amaze me.

    Love, Vidya
