  1. Thank you, Cathy. I recently lost my 26-year old son to a heroin overdose. He was in recovery, living in a sober living home, taking classes to become a drug and alcohol counselor and relapsed. I am a yoga instructor and have a personal training business. The first part of the year I will be taking an yoga teacher training to teach yoga and meditation to those with trauma; PTSD, firefighters, policeman, addicts. I want to help in this realm. My website is http://www.raclarkefitness.com. I am glad I was introduced to you through my support group leader.

  5. Change can be a long road. We have to keep pushing forward. We have to work on staying positive, grateful, living one day at a time and never give up.

Nether one of my children are clean and don’t know if they will ever be. I have to pray for them. I have to remind them that their life can change with time and never give up on their dreams. I was far from being the greatest pedant in the world as they grew up. I never confronted them and always encouraged them to be better than me. I’m amazed at the changes I’ve made in my life and know that with change there’s growth Thank you for your encouragement. Hugs and God bless you all.

    1. Thank you, Melanie, for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. I agree with you that change can be a long road. There are often many starts and stops when it comes to long-term change. That is wonderful that you remind your child that their life can change and not to give up. Know there is hope for your children.
