No regrets, just lessons. No worries, just acceptance. No expectations, just gratitude. Life is too short. ~ Unknown
This is the week of gratitude. What a great reminder to think about what brings us joy each day of our lives.
I’m grateful for the joy in my life, and the relationships that I have been blessed with through the years. I’m thankful to have connected with so many remarkable people, each sharing their unique and powerful message.
I’ve gathered some of those passionate people together today so that we can experience their reflections of gratitude.
So without further ado…
“I am so grateful for the privilege of being of service. When I am able to share information in an article or via a reading that helps a client make a decision or heals them of the grief of losing a loved one – I feel fulfilled and that I am living my purpose. What a gift. Thank you, Universe!” Angela Artemis, Powered by Intuition
“I’m grateful to have finally understood the disease of addiction so that I could do the recovery work I needed in order to enjoy my life to its fullest – something I’m grateful to be doing today.” Lisa Frederiksen, Breaking the Cycles.
“I am grateful for heart connections, to openly share my heart with others, and to humbly accept when others feel safe to share theirs with me. We, humans, sustain ourselves by nurturing our relationships, including the two big ones: with ourselves and with our higher power.” Beth Wilson, B Here Today
“I’m grateful that I have so many blessings I can’t count them all. I’m grateful for a holiday (Thanksgiving in the U.S.) that reminds me to count them anyway. And I’m grateful for the blessing of gratitude itself, which awakens joy in our spirits and humility in our souls.” Galen Pearl, 10 Steps to Finding Your Happy Place
“I’m grateful to always have the feeling of being blessed with riches and joy, regardless of what my current situation is. My life is filled to the brim with love.” Elle Sommer, Reflecting a Life
“Although cut short, I am grateful for my son Jarrod and God. Jarrod’s life was taken in order to help thousands of teens and young adults suffering from addiction. On Thanksgiving Day, just a month and a half before he passed away, Jarrod told his family members that his city he lived in was bad, and he wanted to save his friends!!!
I am also grateful for all the signs from heaven. Please don’t smash a BEE !! I’m grateful for my sister and friends for all their love and support. Last and certainly not least, I am grateful for my husband and my son Blake, through their own grieving, they manage to lift my spirits by giving me the love and happiness they bring to me each day!!” Jodi Barber, One Choice Can Destroy
“I’m most grateful for the ability to choose love over fear. I can establish peace of mind with a simple shift in perception. It’s a limitless act. A choice. A miracle. Love over fear. As many times as it takes.” Tess Marshall, The Bold Life
“I’m grateful for those lessons that I’ve learned because of my addiction. It taught me that even in the darkest place there can be light, even in the darkest hour there can be hope and even in my weakest moment there can be a strength.” Or as Friedrich Nietzsche said, ” That which does not kill us makes us stronger.” Carolyn Hughes, The Hurt Healer
“I am grateful that I have the awareness to be grateful and to benefit from its rewards. I am grateful that my children are growing into fine adults. Gratitude has a very definite way of giving back to you.” David Stevens, David Stevens Life Coach
“During bad times I sometimes wish that I had more resources, money, or fame but when I look at other people who lost things that can’t be replaced I just feel very grateful. I am so grateful to have hope in my life as it makes me believe that even the worst period ever can become just a memory sometime later.
This reminds me of the famous saying ‘I was crying for shoes till I saw a man with no legs.’ I am also grateful for being able to work in the place I was raised in right beside my family while many other people had to leave their families to find a job” Farouk Radwan, 2 Know Myself
“Gratitude is much more than being thankful. Thankfulness is an expression of happiness. Being thankful is telling someone you appreciate what they have done. Being thankful is being glad it didn’t rain on a picnic day. Being thankful is happiness from a gift.
Gratitude is thankfulness taken to the next level. It is a heartfelt and intellectual acknowledgment of all that is good in your life. It’s embracing uncertainty. To feel gratitude towards the bad things that have happened to us knowing that will lead you a new opportunity.” Betsy Henry, Zen Mama
“My son was lost in his addiction for fourteen years, and today he has chosen to live a different life, a sober life. I’m grateful when I hear his voice clear and strong on the phone. I’m grateful when I see his smile, the one that lights up his face, and his familiar little skip in his step. I grateful when I see him with his brother, their bond healing, and strengthening. I’m grateful he is alive and that we have one more day together.” Libby Cataldi, Stay Close
“I am grateful to be living in a free country where I can learn, grow, and expand. I feel immensely blessed to be living my true purpose in life and to be entrusted with the privilege of working with women who struggle with mental health and addiction issues.
“Gratitude gives me incredible energy and enthusiasm for leaping ahead, all the way to my next dream. Also, gratitude releases within me, those powers that enable me to give back to the world out of appreciation for all that the world has given me. Gratitude has me think and act constructively; and that is why feeling grateful is so important to me. Blessings,” Rob White, Rob White Media
“For me, I feel grateful as I marvel over the crimson autumn leaves on a tree across the way, for the smell of crisp, night air with a hint of chimney smoke or gratitude for a memory of being cuddled up and reading a bedtime story to my children when they were small.
At this very moment, I am feeling gratitude for my Wellness Tool Box. The contents of my Tool Box is filled with slips of paper each with an action plan as simple as a reminder to just pause and breathe, to instructing me to take a quick walk around the block, or to remind me that I could use a reward: go to a movie, phone a friend, window shop or schedule a massage. I am grateful for taking personal responsibility for my well-being. When I’m well I can easily and generously give to others.” Shelley Richanbach, Next Steps for Women
“I am grateful for my hula hoops which help me stay fit and trim – 10 mins hula hooping a day keeps the flab away. I am also grateful for my garden which is a haven in central London and which continues to nurture and nourish me daily. Finally, I am grateful for my late father’s favorite pen with which I write daily.” Arvind Devalia, Make It Happen
I live in a constant state of gratitude that I get to spend each day with my husband/best friend/soul mate, Dan. I love that we found each other, and I love that we’ve created such a beautiful life together. Our love is the foundation from which all other gratitude flows. Sappy, but true. 🙂 Jodi Chapman, Soul Speak
